Note: 9B105 does not control wind tunnels for speeds of Mach 3 or less with the dimension of the ‘test cross section size’ equal to or less than 250 mm.
Technical Notes: 1. ‘Aerodynamic test facilities’ includes wind tunnels and shock tunnels for the study of airflow over objects. 2. ‘Test cross section size’ means the diameter of the circle, or the side of the square, or the longest side of the rectangle, or the major axis of the ellipse at the largest ‘test cross section’ location. ‘Test cross section’ is the section perpendicular to the flow direction.
